Performing—Feeling, Auto-Transformation, and Expression: Tang Shu-wing and His Theatre Studio in Hong Kong

This article presents the multifaceted persona of Tang Shu-wing, an acclaimed director, actor, and drama teacher, examines his profound connections with Polish theater tradition, particularly Jerzy Grotowski. The text also discusses Shu-wing’s Shakespearean productions staged in Warsaw Gdańsk. Marzenna Wiśniewska’s introduction contextualizes appendix, which contains edited transcript a lecture delivered by Shu-wing during international online conference Contemporary Acting Techniques Eurasian Theatre, Performance Audiovisual Art: Intercultural Intermedia Perspective (2021).
